Trosper inducted to NKY Sports Hall of Fame


"James David Trosper graduated from Boone County in 1988 and was a starting linebacker for three years, serving as team captain his senior year. In 1988, he was chosen as a member of the all-state team.

The Rebels played in back-to-back state championship games in 1987 and 1988. 

He was awarded the Owen Hauck Cliff Award.

Trosper went to Union College where he played football and was selected two times as All-Conference Mid South. He was the captain for two years, and voted as the Most Valuable Player by his peers two times. He has his name in the record book for the most single game tackles at 19.

He began a coaching career 25 years ago, coaching at Union College, Morehead State, and Holmes and Conner high schools."
