Sixth Grade Orientation
  • Our Incoming 6th Grade Parent Orientation for the 17-18 school year will be held at CMS in the cafeteria on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 pm.

8th grade parents:

There will be a scheduling information session for PARENTS of current 8th graders who will be attending CHS in the fall of 2017.  This will occur on 2/27 at 6:30 PM in the auditorium at CHS.  Counselors and administrators will present and answer questions for the upcoming year.  Scheduling will take place after this date via an online document that will be released.  If you have questions please plan on attending.  Please park in the lot that is to the east of the building (by the athletic field).

The 8th grade STUDENTS will have a separate meeting at CMS on 2/23 in the AM.

CHS "Run With the Cougars" 5K to be held on Saturday, March 18th.  The cost for participants is $10 and all proceeds go directly back to our students in support of our Character Counts program.

Friday, February 24, is a BLACK day for Unified Arts.

REMINDER CHORUS STUDENTS: Fundraiser money is due by Tuesday, Feb. 21st.

REMINDER 7-8th GRADE RED DAY CHORUS AND 6th GRADE CHORUS STUDENTS: Vocal Performance Assessment permission forms and money are due by Fri., Feb. 24th. No late forms will be accepted.

High school cheerleading tryouts will be April 17-21 from 2:45- 4:00 PM. It will run later on the 21st. Parent meeting April 3rd at 6PM in the auditorium.

MISSION

We are a CUSTOMER SERVICE organization who just happens to prepare students for college, career, and life through academics, the arts, and a strong focus on the four C’s of 21st Century Learning (communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking).

 

OVERARCHING GOAL

All students will achieve a minimum of a 19 on the college readiness exam as 8th graders, which informs us our students are on track to be college and career ready upon graduation from high school.
