Grandparents as Parents

Grandparents as Parents

I wanted to share our Grandparents as Parents Resource Guide with you that helps grandparents raising their grandchildren navigate the world of kinship care, which can have various unforeseen health, financial, nutritional, educational, behavioral, and legal issues. Our hope is to ease the strain of kinship caregivers and provide community resources that can improve the quality of care and family outcomes.  The Grandparents as Parents Resource Guide is great for current professionals and for parents that want to better understand kinship care and the resources available in Northern Kentucky.

Please feel free to share the Grandparents as Parents Resource Guide with the rest of your staff and any others that could benefit from using this guide book. In addition, please consider sharing our guide by adding our links to your website or by posting them to any newsletter or mailing list you may have. We have also launched a website at www.grandfamilyguide.org which features the Grandparents as Parents Resource Guide in an easy-to-use online platform.

If you are interested in scheduling Children, Inc. to present on this guide book or other topics of interest to grandparents such as handling behavior issues, navigating the judicial system, parenting skills, or self-care, please contact me via e-mail at rgosney@childreninc.org or by phone at (859) 431-2075 ext. 137.

Thanks for your time & consideration, your help is greatly appreciated!
